Spotlight on: The Hundsdorfer family

Anton was a German communist and political opponent persecuted because of his anti-Nazi campaigning in Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. His daughter Sonja survived the war, believing she was an orphan. Family members were murdered in Dachau concentration camp. Ernie Hunter (born Hundsdorfer), son of Anton tells the story of his non-Jewish German family and what their struggle against the rise of Nazism teaches us about the importance of free speech and democracy in preventing persecutions/genocides.
